    • There is serious concern of rising temperatures at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant, although the company running the plant has said the situation could be a false alarm
    • On Monday, the number 2 reactor was reported to have reached a temperature of 90 degrees Celsius, twice the temperature from a month ago
    • In parliament, Japan's Environment Minister Goshi Hosono stated, "The instruments are showing readings that are difficult to understand but I believe we don't have to change our view that the plant is in cold shutdown"
